We are excited to introduce our newest feature in Backup Ninja, a simple and secure backup service for open source database technologies, files and folders locally and on the cloud. This release highlights our all new automated, incremental backup feature for MySQL, MariaDB and Percona. Eliminating the need to have multiple tools or interfaces to take incremental backups. With Backup Ninja you can schedule and manage incremental backups in just a few clicks, without any manual scripts. Simply follow the steps on screen to schedule secure and reliable automated, incremental backups for your open source databases.
Release Highlights
Incremental backups backup data changed since the last backup and is key for Point-in-Time-Recovery (PiTR). It's also faster to take incremental backups, as it only takes changed data. The backups are also smaller in size, saving money on storage and throughput costs.
Backup Ninja’s incremental backup feature allows you to schedule automated incremental backups for MySQL, MariaDB and Percona with just a simple click on ‘incremental backup’ on backup type when setting up your backup schedule.

The Backup Ninja backup schedule listing uses icons to clearly distinguish incremental, partial, and full backups and all schedules are tagged with last backup execution time.

Like the backup schedule list , you also get to view the incremental backups named in and sorted in sequence for easy reference during restoration.

To speed up the restoration process, we have created easy-to-follow, on-screen instructions for incremental backups for faster and error free recovery.

Conclusion
Backup Ninja now provides automated, incremental backups for MySQL, MariaDB and Percona all using the same simple and reliable Backup Ninja interface. We have more exciting features (like automated restore and incremental backup support for other technologies) coming soon. Stay tuned in for more updates from the Backup Ninja team.
