We are excited to announce our latest feature enhancement on Backup Ninja, a simple, secure and reliable automated backup services for open source databases, files and directories to your preferred storage location, locally or in the cloud. In this release, we would like to enhance your user experience on backup scheduling with the all new backup schedule view page. Along with this, we also have a new cloud storage partner added to our list in this release.
Release Highlights
Scheduling backup is one of the main tasks in any backup management tool. Therefore any details on scheduling events serve as important metrics in backup monitoring. To retrieve this information faster, we have consolidated all information on the scheduled backup and presented it on a single page. With just a single click on View link, you will be directed to a full page delivering insights on your individual scheduled backup.

You get to view the status of the scheduled backup, backup server details, the backup tool used on the first portion of the scheduled backup details page. The midsection of the page gives you the storage information.

The final section displays all the backups created with this backup schedule. You can either restore or delete the backup from this page when you click on the link under the Actions column.

You might want to create schedules for incremental, partial and full backups with the same setting. We have introduced a new feature to create a copy of the backup schedule with your preferred setting right from the same page. Simply click on Create Copy and edit the settings Copy Scheduled screen to spin up a backup schedule quickly.

We are also happy to announce gridscale is now on Backup Ninja’s cloud credential list. gridscale is a cloud computing company from Germany which offers various services including S3 compliant object storage service.

We have more exciting features coming soon. Stay tuned in for more updates from the Backup Ninja team.
